Well, since you requested.....

Someone asked if I could write my blog in English.

Well, to be honest, if you asked me to write an article about financial crisis or an economic issue, it would definitely be easier to write in English than in Chinese. However, to dig into memory lane, to recall those small little heart-warming moments I had enjoyed with my children, nothing better than putting them in Chinese language, which is closest to my heart.

But honestly again, ( I am quite an honest person as most of you know, ha ha ha ) it is hell to me to type in Chinese, cos I have never learn hanyupinyin (汉语拼音),which is one of the ways to let me spell the words and type them out. A short article took me almost 2 days in-between my work, “ ji, ji zhu, zhu,” trying hard to figure out how to pronounce a simple word before I could finally get it right. If I had a boss, I think I would probably lose my job.

We never learn hanyupinyin (汉语拼音) in our younger days. So, it's in my resolution this year to master this skill ( if you call it a skill ?!) . By setting up a blog in Chinese is also acting as a push factor, helping me to achieve this.

Anyway, since quite a number of viewers like my first posting, I will try to reorganize it and put it up in English. ( I almost fainted reading the translated version by Google! ) Be patient and just give me a bit of time, ok? It's hard to just switch between the 2 languages which are most beautiful in their own way.

Thank you for your support.

  2. Hi dear, you are lucky to have the opportunity to learn both English and Chinese, and of course, our national language. :)
In fact, this is one of the 'serious topics' which I would like to discuss in this blog, already on my agenda.
