5.00am -- Woke up early. 起个大清早以免塞在耶城恶命昭章的大堵车里。
5.45am -- Left Jakarta city at dawn to beat the notorious morning traffic jam.
8.00am -- Making good time. Can afford to take a coffee break at highway rest place.喝杯咖啡歇歇吧。
8.30am -- Heading towards Garut, by-passing Bandung.
9.30am -- On the way, found our first destination - Candi Cangkuang in Kampong Pulo. It's a hamlet consisting just six houses and a mosque with historic significance. Originally the inhabitants were Hindu, but they were converted to Islam by Embah Dalam Arif Mohammed in the first half of the century. His grave lies on the hill next to a restored temple named Candi Cangkuang.

Took a bamboo raft across a lotus pond to Candi Cangkuang, an Indian temple with a muslim grave by its side. A show of real 'muhhibah'.

11.00am -- Searching for Cipanas - meaning ' Hot Spring' . A favourite local tourist resort area on the slope of Mt. Gundur, with close to a hundred (I think) small to large size rest place and hotels.

12.00 noon. Break for Lunch at Solaria, a popular local chain restaurant in a shopping mall. You can find shopping malls in every small town. Due to its population size, domestic demand is huge and all these malls are packed.
离开温泉区， 继续我们的行程。 停在一小镇吃午餐。这里许多小镇都有购物中心，人山人海。
Our complicated lunch order was taken by an Indonesian waitress. We were surprised she used mental calculation to worked out the total amount we have to pay as fast as those Indian workers in our mamak stall. These waitresses are pretty too. You just couldn't relate them with those working as domestic helper in our country. We have doubt are they really coming from the same place?
这里的女招待心算一流，没两下子便把我们的单子算好，可媲美我们嘛嘛档的印度小子。
1.00pm -- After lunch, proceed to look for Kampung Naga. On the way there, buy some mangosteens and bananas.
一路上看到什么便买什么。
Kampung Naga is a well-preserved traditional village with 103 wooden houses inhabited by some 360 people. They maintain their traditional way of life with no electricity nor agricultural machinery.
找一座不受文明侵蚀的村庄。没水电供应，用完全原始的方法生活。
A stairway of 360 steps leads 100m down to the river.
往下走约100米，360 梯级。（想想待会儿要爬回上来！）
Everyone enjoying fish-spa. Very tickling.
累了半天，泡泡脚，享受让小鱼啃脚后跟硬皮的滋味。

3.30pm -- Long journey to Baturaden. A roller-coaster kind of journey. Lots of exciting and breath-holding over-taking and squeezing along a narrow and bumpy country road used by all sorts of vehicles. Lorries, cars, buses, trucks, beca, motor-bike, horses, donkeys... you name it. Everyone gives way to each other. Not a single accident seen throught out our whole journey!
前往巴都拉登，一段漫长的路程。颠簸不平，惊险万分。同一条马路，名副其实，车辆，罗里，三轮车，摩托车，马车，驴子，什么都有。在窄窄的路面超车，非有超凡的技术不可。这里的司机耐性，容忍度，礼让态度一流！ 虽处处擦身而过，却总是有惊无险，也无人朝你大声喝叫，更没见过发生任何大小车祸！ 一奇！
7.30pm -- We were almost there but no sight of the hotel yet. Everyone is hungry and tired after 4 hours non-stop drive. Suddenly, out of no where, a building appeared in the dark. It looks like one of those designer-bungalow restaurant in Bangsar.
坐了四个小时的车，大家又饿又累。天色早已暗了下来，可是还没找到旅馆。抄了一条小道，更不知身在何处。就在一片漆黑林丛中突然冒出一家高品味装璜的餐厅，直到今日还觉得匪夷所思。
Guess what? It is selling Nasi Ayam Goreng !!! (fried chicken rice)
炸鸡饭！
Trust me, this is one of the best fried chicken rice I have ever tasted ! Not because we were hungry but the Indonesians are really good at all these fried stuff. Oh ya, big slices of cucumber are sweet and crunchy! This restaurant is really God-sent. You will never believe it. It just popped-out from the dark, out of nowhere along a country road. In fact, we de-tour a bit due to no reason ( or a mistake, no one knows) and found this restaurant. To add icing to this big surprise, the meal was very cheap!
这是我吃过最好吃的炸鸡饭！ 不是因为饿了，而是它真的好吃！青瓜清脆香甜，炸鸡香喷喷，米饭更是我国所不能比的。
其实当时我们偏离了本来的路线，天色也晚了，无意中找到这家餐厅，真是冥冥中最好的安排！这是今天最大最好的惊喜！（还超便宜呢！）

9.00pm -- After the satisfiying dinner, we were back to our original route and finally found our hotel -Resort Prima Baturraden.
饱餐一顿后，终于抵达今晚住宿处。
5 and 1/2 hours since we left Kampung Naga. We completed one of our longest-distance drive for this round island trip, half an hour ahead of schedule !
Thanks to our dearest friend who were holding tight behind the steering wheel all the time ! An excellent exprience of real country road in Jawa. Now I can understand why my previous maids said they needed two days to reach home from Jakarta by public transport !
What an exciting day filled with surprises and blessing !!
今天总算见识了爪哇岛上的交通实况。难怪我以前的女佣说坐公车需费时两日才能从耶加达回到中爪哇。
